The novel is widely considered a literary genre that profoundly embodies reality, often described as a mirror reflecting the world around us. This reflection is crystallized through its connections with society, capturing social, political, and historical dimensions, along with a deep portrayal of psychological dimensions. The novel “The Murder of the “Bookseller” was published in 2016, written by Saad Muhammad Rahim, and was shortlisted for the International Prize for Arabic Fiction in 2017.In his research on the psychological narrative in the aforementioned novel, the researcher applied a descriptive-analytical approach, concluding that the novel addresses psychological conflicts and inner emotional struggles, including love, remorse, injustice, sadness, and crying. The author embodies these conflicting emotions within the character of the bookseller “Mahmoud Al-Marzouq.” Identity fragmentation violates the constraints of the traditional narrative structure by drawing on memories associated with the “Al-Sharad Association.” The novel guides each narrative toward self-disclosure, where each holds itself accountable, exposing its intellectual and subjective contradictions in relation to society and history. The main character in the novel, Al-Marzouq, occasionally experiences mental stupor and delirium, particularly after consuming large amounts of sugar.Novelist Muhammad Rahim employed a psychological setting, particularly an open setting, to reveal both the intellectual and psychological nature of his characters and himself. I often use the phrase “the place is with me” since he locks himself in his own fantasies and delusions, leaving others unaware of what unfolds in his psychological place. He describes the city as being suffocated by blood and devastation. He may turn to daydreaming because the reality he faces is dull and unappealing or because he believes he can attain wealth through imagination that eludes him in real life. He also uses internal monologue to reflect his loneliness and detachment from society.

The description has a significant position in narrative studies and is used for pausing and stopping the narration, reducing its speed, which sometimes results in the disturbed temporal rhythm of the novel. This element has been used for many functions, including aesthetical, passive-emotional, interpretive, and other functions in the novel “Hekayeh Bahhar” by Hanna Mina, the Syrian novelist. This study collects and describes different types of description functions through the descriptive method and investigates and analyzes the goals of these functions in the novel based on the analytical method. In these functions, the descriptive aspect dominates over the narrative aspect within various types of descriptions based on different phrases. The research result confirms that the semantic-interpretative function of description in this novel is used to illustrate the physical and mental traits of characters and examine the elements of place; moreover, aesthetical decorative function in it has been applied through romantic and decorative metaphors and analogies for describing the nature, coast, and sea. Moreover, the rhythmic function in this novel has been used to create anxiety and confusion, and its amphibological function is to persuade the reader of the realism of the events. All of the functions mentioned for description have been realized through investigation of the Syrian community, people and their problems, the lives of sailors, and entertaining readers through the text. The objective of description in this novel is to create and firm the interpretative-semantic frameworks in most cases.

The senses are gateways to knowledge acquired from the external world, with sensory examination serving as the key to understanding through touch, taste, smell, visual perception of dimensions, shapes, and colors, and the hearing of sounds. There can be no knowledge without intellect, and no intellect without senses. Given that the senses are the mind's tools, it becomes evident why honing, refining, and cultivating them demands attention. The more one develops and expands their sensory capabilities, the more they can enhance their emotional experience. This is particularly noticeable in poets whose work demonstrates extensive sensory engagement.Using descriptive and analytical methods, this study examines the sensory elements and their role in the poetic consciousness of our blind poet, Al-Tutili. The findings reveal that sensory perception plays a pivotal role in his poetry as cognitive tools compensating for his loss of sight and intensifying his emotional experience. Despite his blindness, he successfully creates a visual world that deeply reflects his feelings through a style that makes readers feel the tension between the beauty of poetic imagery and the sorrow of loss. When vision is absent, it transforms into heightened auditory sensitivity as a fundamental alternative, enabling him to convey his emotional and cognitive experiences profoundly. Meanwhile, he activates touch to construct precise sensory and visual images, revealing the texture of objects as a powerful perceptual tool. The combination of smell and taste creates a unique sensory and emotional duality that adds striking synesthetic imagery to his poetry. The senses integrate in his poetry, emerging as key knowledge gateways that enhance his poetic awareness and open rich horizons for his artistic and poetic experience, making his poetry a reflection of complete sensory awareness that mirrors his rich emotional depth

he methods of Arabic rhetoric have included important means of indirect artistic images, which are considered means of expressing meanings through various metaphorical connotations, as a single idea can be performed in different styles and multiple methods of performance with different changes that may include increases and decreases in meanings and the construction of words. When the way in which words are constructed changes, the pictorial meanings change accordingly. Islamic poets have adopted many creative graphic methods to draw wonderful artistic images, including the methods of metaphor, simile, and metonymy, which are characterized by their beauty, giving excitement to the poetic text, and the dimension of the vision they aim for, and are described as More beautiful and deeper than real styles, as it has influential revelations that attract the attention of the recipient and shake his feelings and conscience, as it pulsates with the feelings, thoughts and emotions of the creators. In this research, we have relied on the descriptive analytical method in studying rhetorical methods in Islamic poetry until the year 41 AH, and we found that both persuasion and poetic eloquence are distinguished by the fact that they are essential in the science of literature and language, and that the use of pilgrims in Islamic poetry is an important literary phenomenon that shows the ability Islamic poets are able to use rhetorical tools to express their ideas and convince the recipient of their point of view, and they used them extensively in their poetry.

Some of the methods that are used to analyze literary texts and understand its depth and hidden aspects deal with the text from the inside. Since the immanent approach interprets various issues from the inside, methods such as structuralism, stylistics, semiotics, and poetics, which consider the text as a linguistic structure independent of external factors, have an immanent approach. According to Todorov, poetics is the knowledge that deals with those abstract features that make a literary event unique. In other words, the aim of poetics is to know the general rules that create a literary text within literature. Todorov studies poetics as a method for literary text analysis at four levels: semantic expression, word registers, verbal expression, and syntactic expression. The present research aims to examine the ode "Qabr Al-arz" by Mohammad Ali Shamsuddin (1942-2022), a Lebanese poet. In order to know the technical characteristics of the mentioned ode, this research is based on the descriptive-analytical method and based on Todorov's boutique theory. The most important findings of the research indicate that the narrative structure of the ode "The Tomb of the Earth" has made it possible to analyze this ode based on Todorov's boutique approach. The most important findings of the research indicate that the narrative structure of the ode "The Tomb of the Earth" has made it possible to analyze it on Todorov's boutique approach. The poet uses relationships based on absence at the level of semantic expression and at the level of verbal contexts, he uses ascribes verbs to subjects with various degrees of abstraction, as well as repetition, antithesis, imagery of the type of gradual change and multi-valued speech. At the level of verbal expression, he also uses direct style, time change and time suspension. At the level of syntactic representation, the relationship between the units is of the type of ideological story and the spatial relationships that determine the structure of the text.

The conversational requirement of Grice presents an implicit interpretation of the speaker's ability to express a subject instead of just saying it. In most conversations, colloquial meaning requires the speaker's words more than the conversational meaning. In this way, the speaker relies on linguistic skills when explaining the purpose in their words through the techniques used in their speech. Speakers use conversational requirements, which is a linguistic phenomenon. This linguistic phenomenon reflects the relation between the level of mixed linguistic structure and the level of that structure exposed to possible reasoning interpretation, either positive or negative. Conversational requirement aims to discover the linguistic code and the meaning beyond the words to find what the speaker means. We relied on the descriptive-analytical method, which is proper for this academic research allowing us to discover, describe, analyze, and interpret truths. Therefore, the theoretical part addressed the conversational requirement, cooperation principle, and its conditions, and implemented this theory on some verses of Al-Insan (The Man) Surah in the comparative section of the study. The results of this study from analyzed verses of Al-Insan Surah indicated that these verses include both literal meanings, such as commanding, prohibiting, and informing, and conversational meanings, which are seen as advising, promising and warning, punishing and encouraging, or challenging the audience. These conversational meanings are perceived from the external context of verses. Context plays a vital role in helping the audience understand what is the purpose and meaning of the speaker's words. According to analyzed verses, the speaker
