Semiotics is one of the methods of literary criticism which has a special place in modern literature. Charles Sanders Peirce, an American semiotician, made a frame for semiotic studies by rejecting the two-dimensional structure of the sign and presenting his three-dimensional model. Linguistic signs play an essential role in the production of new poetic texts, so Peirce's semiotics model is considered an accurate and appropriate method for analyzing modern poetry. Abdul Azim Fanjan, a modern Iraqi poet whose main poetic motives are love and romantic themes, has a particular style of expression by his new poetic language and artistic use of linguistic signs. The present study tries to investigate the formation of signs that make up the concept of love in Abdul Azim Fanjan poetry by descriptive-analytical methods based on Pierce's three-dimensional model. It also expresses the role of three components of signs, namely representation, subject and interpretation. From the results, it is inferred that the signs related to love are produced in the form of temporal, spatial, intertextual codes and based on succession and companionship. According to the category of priority, duality and tertiary, representation of each one depicts the qualitative state of the sign, subject shows the practical dimension of the poet's emotional experiences in the real world, and sign interpretation expresses a general concept that is woven in all the verses of the poem, respectively.

Austrian Alfred Adler strengthened personality analysis by presenting the theory of individual psychology. Adler does not consider human a separate unit and studies a person’s personality affected by social context. The most important concepts of this theory are humiliation and compensatory mechanism, superiority complex, mass communication, life style, creative self and social interest. The main goal of the present study is to analyze “ISIS” personality in “the Bird Tattoo” novel by “Dunya Mikhail” based on the mentioned theory and using an analytical-descriptive approach. The most important achieved results show that among the four discussed life styles by Adler, the ISIS life style falls into the first category, that is the “dominant type” which lacks social interest. In fact, by taking this apparently Islamic life style and ignoring other people in the society and attacking them, ISIS tries to reach its main goal which is the Islamic caliphate. Factors such as feeling jealous or fear, lacking empathy with others, not having social interest and the tendency towards violence and sadism play a role in forming ISIS terrorist group and their raging dominance. This violent tendency and enjoying from it are heavily promoted and intensified by modern media, formal training and socialization of forces and reflect a special and exclusive life style resulted from their personality bases.

Penomenology is of the philosophical thinking approachs that was founded at beginhng of the 20 th century by Husserl with the influence of “ Descartes”, “ Hegel” and “ Kant”. This approach of human consciousness when facing the universe and one of its most basic goals is to realize the principle of “returning to things themselves”. In order toreakize this principie, Husserl raised the problem oe “Epoche”. Today, applying the phenomenology approach is considered a very important step in the field analysis and reading of literary texts because this approach by using thematic criticism , besides explaining the way phenomena manifest in the mind, examines the relationship between the literary work and the ontological philosophy makes it possible for the reader to understand the worldview and thoughts governing the text. Based on this, the purpose of the current reaserch is to use Husserl phenomenological theory and rely on the analytical descriptive method, while providing an ontological interpretation of the play Shahrzad by Hakim, to investigate the effectiveness and compatibility of this outhorˈs views with Husserl thoughts. The results of the research show that Hakimˈs success in this play has been greatly influenced by the theorical foundations and practical requirements governing the phenomenological approach, and his ontological thoughts have commonalities and similarities with Husserlˈs fundamentals are: belief in the transcendental attitude and the centrality of the thinking self, redefining phenomena based on sensory perception, suspending the assumption of assumptions in cognitive action, and intertwining of subject and object, Emergence childhood ego

Agents and social actors play an important role in the formation of discourse, hegemony of power, thinking in society and consequently a literary work, and the author can refer to their role in the work in two ways: omission and statement. The methods that depend on the social conditions of the society and the level of power of the agents are fluctuating. In the light of van Leeuwen's discourse theory and relying on the representation and non-representation of social agents in the literary work, this article looks for the functions and social themes and the underlying themes of the text, and to achieve this goal, it examines the novel Al-Qandus by the Saudi writer "Mohammed Hassan Alwan". , to criticize and evaluate the context of the emergence of social agents in this work. Literary works produced in authoritarian and suffocating conditions are very important in terms of analysis and processing based on the theories of discourse analysis, and it is possible to discover the technical features and the underlying but efficient foundations of the work. The result shows that Alwan has used the element of omission more than expression, considering the same atmosphere of tyranny in Saudi society, and these omissions are done consciously but with the assumption that the intelligent audience will understand the author's intention. Also, the methods of declaring identity or naming in accordance with the culture have been used for more irony and criticism.

Signs form an important part of human consciousness and communication level and by playing a meaning-making role, especially in literature, in addition to their main role, they cause the expansion of meaning and the conscious effort of the audience to communicate with the text. The role of signs is more visible in texts that have a complex narrative structure and elements. It seems that after the experience of the Corona era and the dominance of the virtual communication space, which uses signs widely, the literature of the new age has gained the opportunity to benefit more from these facilities. Therefore, in this article, we are going to read the novel "The Tragedy of the Author of the Short Story" by focusing on the two geometric shapes of the square and the circle as signs. . In the present novel, in accordance with the general belief, the symbol of the square means the earth, stillness and the presence of man, while the symbol of the circle represents the sky, spirituality and time. But in some cases, we see the semantic overlap of these two signs and the author's attempt to expand their meaning. The results obtained during the research show that the author explains the events, characters and overall movement of the narrative by using the semantic field of these signs And when necessary, he adds new meanings to them.

Religious Salafism is a social phenomenon in the Arab world today, which had violent and troubling consequences for the contemporary world, and found an appropriate reflection in the fiction literature of the Arab world. This shows the importance of story analysis to understand social realities. The story of Amara Yaqouibaan, the Egyptian writer Alaa Aswani, has reflected the phenomenon of religious Salafism with a mixture of violence, before its appearance in the political-social scene of Egypt. This article analyzes this phenomenon in the mentioned story based on the theoretical theory that seeks to understand the causes of violence.Based on the analytical and descriptive method relying on the analysis of the content of the story, the approach of this research shows that political, social injustice and economic deprivation narrows the arena for fictional characters so much that there is no other choice but to take refuge in the group. He does not see an organized, fundamentalist and radical religion that was influenced by the ideas of the Muslim Brotherhood. Acquaintance of the characters with the exclusivist and Salafist ideas of the Brotherhood, along with the understanding of all kinds of deprivations, provides the necessary context for the emergence of organized violence. The continuation of the violence begins and ends with the scenes of the conflict between the police and the organized religious group,
