Abstract
According to many Arab critics Nizar Qabani is a phenomenon in the area of modern poem both in style and poetic content. He relates to pure love lyrics and women's issues. This way she has been able to express what is believed to be earthly love. She is therefore, named the 'poet of women and love'. Apart from lyric poems like other committed poets, she has discussed political, topical, ethnic and national issues. This paper investigates the politic and social aspects of this Arab poetess with a descriptive-analytical approach. In conclusion, studying Nizar's life and poems shows that in addition to other his titles, she should be considered a 'National committed poetess'.
